Double Plug Cementing Head For Conventional & Continuous Two Plug Cementing

Cementing heads are installed on top of the casing before cementing operations. Their primary function is to allow operators to drop the bottom and top cement plugs without opening the casing. These tools pump slurry and release plugs in sequence, ensuring that drilling fluid fills the casing quickly and evenly.

The double plug cementing head is specifically designed to hold and release two plugs simultaneously (one bottom, one top). This simplifies the cementing process, prevents contamination between slurry and displacement fluid, and can be used for both conventional double plug cementing and continuous two stage cementing operations. It delivers reliable performance across a wide range of casing sizes.

Quick-latch adapter – Enables faster, easier, and safer makeup for two-stage cementing. The adapter is compatible with API long round thread, short round thread, and partial trapezoidal threads, giving it a wide application range.

Double balance pipe structure – When cementing through the lower connection, this design equalizes pressure above and below the rubber plug. It eliminates negative-pressure suction on the retaining pin, making the opening pin easier to operate and more reliable.

API grade steel construction – Manufactured using API specification steels with API 8 round, buttress, and premium threads.

Heavy-duty materials – Main components are forged from AISI 4145H alloy steel, offering high pressure endurance and a long service life.

Positive lever indicator – Provides clear visual confirmation that the plug has been released, reducing operator uncertainty.

Large trapezoidal threads – Used on the top cover and union nut for strength and durability.

Easy disassembly and transport – The tool is designed to be taken apart and carried conveniently, which is especially useful for remote or multi-well locations.
