Slips are essential tools in drilling operations. They securely clamp and suspend the drill string or casing string inside the wellbore. A slip assembly typically consists of the slip body, gripping teeth (buttons), handles, and connectors.

Our casing slips are specifically designed for largediameter casing strings. They feature a multisegment, pinconnected structure – typically eleven or more segments – that provides a firm yet flexible grip. This design adapts well to casing outer diameter variations caused by wear, while keeping the assembly lightweight and strong.

Types & Classification

Slips can be classified by:

Application – Drill pipe slips, drill collar slips, casing slips.

Structure – Three-piece, four-piece, long/short combination.

Operation – Power-operated (automatic) or manual.

The casing slips described here are manual, multi-segment, and optimized for large casing sizes.

Note: The number of segments increases with casing diameter, from 9 segments for small sizes up to 37 segments for 30" casing. Each slip uses circular button inserts (part numbers listed) for secure gripping.
