Product Description

Batch Mixer-Innovative Cementing Equipment Featuring Batch Mixer Designs to Deliver Consistent Cement Slurry for Oil Well Cementing Operations

What Is a Batch Mixer?

In oil well cementing, you need to prepare a precise amount of cement slurry before pumping it down the well. A batch mixer is a machine that does exactly that: it mixes cement, water, and additives in large batches to create a uniform, highquality slurry. Unlike continuous mixers that mix as they pump, a batch mixer allows you to blend an entire batch ahead of time, check its density and properties, and then pump it when you are ready.

Imagine you are making a big cake. A continuous mixer is like adding flour and water while the cake is already in the oven – not ideal. A batch mixer is like mixing all the ingredients in a bowl first, verifying the dough is perfect, and then baking. That is the batch mixing method.

Batch mixers are especially useful for:

Critical wells where slurry consistency must be perfect from start to finish.

Complex additive blends that need thorough mixing.

Large volume jobs where you want a steady, uninterrupted supply of slurry.

At Sunrise, our batch mixers are designed for both onshore and desert oilfields. They offer both continuous and batch mixing capabilities– giving you the flexibility to choose the best method for your job.

Key Features of Our Batch Mixer

Our batch mixers are not just tanks with agitators. They are engineered for reliability, accuracy, and long service life. Here are the standout features:

1. Dual Mixing Mode – Continuous or Batch

Most mixers only do one thing. Ours can do both. You can run the unit in continuous mode for routine jobs where you pump and mix simultaneously. Or switch to batch mode when you need to prepare a large, homogenous volume before pumping. This dual capability means you do not need two separate machines – one Sunrise batch mixer handles both.

2. Built for Harsh Environments – Onshore & Desert

Oilfields are tough places: sand, dust, extreme heat, and long working hours. Our batch mixers are built with heavyduty construction, sealed electrical components, and cooling systems that keep hydraulics and engines running even when ambient temperatures exceed 50°C (122°F). They are also designed for easy cleaning – because desert sand can clog any machine.

3. Premium Brand Components for Performance & Longevity

We do not cut corners on critical parts. All equipment, instruments, and key components are sourced from worldrenowned brands such as:

Engines: CAT, Detroit, Cummins – the most trusted names in diesel power.

Transfer box: DUST or STIEBEL – known for durability and smooth power transmission.

Centrifugal pumps: Jet pump and water supply pump – sized at 4”x3”x13, and circulation/charging pump – sized at 6”x5”x11.

Using premium brands means fewer breakdowns, longer service intervals, and easier access to spare parts anywhere in the world.

4. Dual Batch Mixing Tanks with Independent Agitators

Our batch mixers come with two separate mixing tanks, each with its own agitator. This design allows you to:

Prepare one batch while pumping the other – no waiting time.

Mix two different slurry formulas simultaneously (for complex jobs).

Clean one tank while the other is in use.

For the 100 BBL model, you get two tanks of 8 m³ (50 BBL each) – total 100 BBL.
For the 120 BBL model, you get two tanks of 10 m³ (60 BBL each) – total 120 BBL.

Each tank has an independent agitator that keeps the slurry moving, preventing settling and ensuring uniformity.

5. Optional Small Mixing Tank with Agitator

Need to premix additives or prepare a small test batch? We offer an optional 1.4 m³ mixing tank with its own agitator. This is perfect for:

Preparing concentrated additive solutions before adding to the main batch.

Small jobs where you do not need the full 100 BBL.

Rinsing and cleaning without wasting large volumes of water.

6. Wide Density Range & High Mixing Capacity

Our batch mixers can handle slurry densities from 8.3 ppg to 22 ppg (1.0 to 2.6 g/cm³). That covers everything from lightweight foamed cement to heavy highdensity slurries. The maximum mixing capacity is 14.5 barrels per minute (bpm) – which equals about 2.3 cubic meters per minute. This means you can fill a 100 BBL tank in less than 7 minutes.

Technical Parameters (At a Glance)

Below are the standard technical specifications for our two batch mixer models:

Why Buy a Batch Mixer from Sunrise?

You might be thinking: “I can find batch mixers from other suppliers. What makes Sunrise different?” Here are five strong reasons:

1. We Understand Real Oilfield Conditions

Our team has worked with CNPC, SINOPEC, and international operators in onshore and desert oilfields for over a decade. We know that a batch mixer must survive sandstorms, extreme heat, and rough handling. That is why we overengineer our units – thicker steel, better seals, and easier maintenance access. When you buy from us, you buy fieldproven reliability.

2. Premium Brands Mean Lower Total Cost of Ownership

Using CAT, Cummins, Detroit, DUST, and STIEBEL components might cost a little more upfront. But you will spend far less on repairs and downtime over the life of the machine. Our customers tell us that after five years, their Sunrise batch mixer is still running like new, with only routine maintenance. That is real value.

3. Flexibility – Both Continuous & Batch Modes, Two Tank Sizes

Many batch mixers force you into one mode or one tank size. Our design gives you options. Need to mix continuously for a simple job? Yes. Need to prepare two different batches in parallel? Yes. Prefer the 100 BBL model for smaller rigs, or the 120 BBL for highvolume jobs? We have both. You are not locked in.

4. Engineering Support from Order to Rigsite

When you buy from Sunrise, you get our famous threestage engineering support:

Before order: Our engineers review your well conditions, slurry recipes, and operational workflow. We help you choose the right model and optional features.

During production: We supervise manufacturing at our partner factories, checking every weld, pump alignment, and control system calibration.

After delivery: We can send an engineer to your rigsite for installation, commissioning, and crew training. We do not leave until you are confident.

This level of support is rare for a trading company – but it is standard for Sunrise.

5. Global Experience with Logistics and Spare Parts

We have exported batch mixers to more than 15 countries across five continents. Our logistics team handles ocean freight, customs clearance, and inland transport – even to remote desert locations. We also stock common spare parts (pump impellers, seals, agitator blades, control sensors) in our Beijing warehouse, ready to ship within 24 hours.

Common Applications of Our Batch Mixer

Our batch mixers are used in:

Primary cementing – preparing large, uniform batches of lead and tail slurry.

Remedial cementing – mixing small, precise batches for squeeze jobs or plug setting.

Desert operations – where sand and heat demand rugged equipment.

Offshore platforms – the optional small tank is perfect for confined spaces.
